One early morning, I took solace in my favourite cup of black tea and let my mind drift. And drift it did . . . to aimless afternoon treks upon walking trails that lazily weaved through a hilly nearby park. My place of refuge is a local park of rolling lawns, hayfields and New England hardwood forests accented with duck ponds and tiny streams. In the midst of my tea infused reverie, I had an epiphany: a forest brings me peace, as much as my tea. Hence, the name:
Peace Forest Teas
And then an idea occurred to me. Why don't I create an online tea emporium of my favorite teas that you will never find in your local grocery store? At the same time, I aim to gently welcome you to the positive contemplative experience of delectable tea, one cup at a time.
In a world consumed with hurriedness, you need time for yourself, free of structure, direction and judgment. I believe through early morning quiet contemplation of your favorite tea, its color, fragrance and of course taste, you can discover something about yourself.
I also believe in the magic of leafy green forests. Walk in them. Trees can help you think about what is important, fundamental to you. And so, my blog will have natural photography and meditations on these ideas.
I hope you will visit more than once.
Not just to buy tea, but also to comment, maybe send me an essay, a poem, a sentence fragment or a photograph that I may post, as the aim is to build a community of people seeking peaceful fulfillment.
Our ability to be calm will make the world a better place, and maybe, just maybe, the feeling will spread!
